The Parent Mentoring Program provides a range of culturally sensitive parenting education, training and support programs aimed at creating stable families that can be productively integrated into local and regional communities and economies.
The Parent Mentoring program provides trained professionals to assist families referred by the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to learn effective parenting, child rearing, communications, and family safety by matching parents with a mentor who also functions as social advocate for families. While helping families adjust to cultural differences, this program connects parents to community resources, helps them improve upon and learn effective parenting skills and increase safety in homes.
Services are available to families referred by the Department of Children and Families (DCF). Any family with a DCF referral for these services can choose to have these services provided by La Alianza Hispana.
