Summer 2009 | New initiaitves In this issue of La Voz, we are pleased to share with you some upcoming and interesting
initiatives; one is the opening of our outpatient behavioral health clinic through the Family Counseling Center and the other is the launching of Ladders to Language,an advanced English language instruction program designed help Latino English-language learners to transition to college or advanced training.

August, 2008 | Celebra la vida con salud y musica In this issue of La Voz, we are excited to feature Celebra La Vida Con Salud Y Trova 2007, provide links to video and photos from that day, and share how this event further impacts health education initiatives in the City of Boston. In addition to Celebra La Vida Con Salud y Trova, we want to highlight an important violence prevention initiative called City Moms on a Mission: Reclaiming our Village. This initiative was convened by State Senator Dianne Wilkerson and will continue to mobilize the Black and Latino community to address the violence in our neighborhoods

August, 2007 | Celebra la vida con salud y trova On July 15th, Boston's City Hall Plaza was filled with the sights and sounds of 9,000 people lining up to take advantage of free services and medical screenings.

June, 2007 | Six Latina Executive Directors In this special issue of La Voz we reached out to six Latina executive directors to share their inspirational voice and leadership advice. As we usher in a new era of leadership at La Alianza (The Alliance), we recognize our collective strength in the nonprofit sector is a critical resource in the community. We thank María Elena Letona (Centro Presente), Gladys Vega (Chelsea Collaborative) Alexandra Oliver-Dávila (Sociedad Latina), Vanessa Calderón Rosado (Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción), Giovanna Negretti (¿Oíste?), and Sylvia Saavedra-Keber (Concilio Hispano).

April, 2007 | El Jolgorio de Massachusetts For the first time ever, La Alianza Hispana and El Jolgorio de Massachusetts, in collaboration with Mayor Thomas M. Menino and the City of Boston's Office of Arts, Tourism and Special Events, will present the first annual Festival de Salud y Trova: Access to Your Health and Trova (typical folk music) Festival to be held at Boston City Hall Plaza on Sunday, July 15, 2007.

February, 2007 | Linda Medina In our February issue of La Voz, we are pleased to profile Linda Medina, a La Alianza volunteer and former workforce development program participant. Linda is a Latina leader who is reconnecting with the community that once offered her life-changing support.

December, 2006 - A Year in review 2006 was a year of change and transformation for La Alianza Hispana. We changed the way we did business, we changed locations for one of our longstanding programs, and we changed the way we reached out to the community for support.
